Ok – so maybe you know by now that I consider myself a ‘girly-girl’ and I love to get gussied up! One thing I think is really fun is playing around with nail polish and nail art – you can get them done at a salon, or play around yourself with different polish colors and crafts!
One look I did recently was super-dark polish and dark glitter. It was really easy – just paint your nails the color you want (two coats), then sprinkle the glitter you want (I like to use fine glitter, not the big chunky pieces) on just the top part of the nail, then do a coat of clear polish over everything.
Another fun look to try are patterns that kinda look like fabric:
I didn’t do these myself, but there are cool nail kits that you can get that come with press-on patterns or colors. I’ve also seen friends with lace nails! Just use nail glue to stick on some lace on top of the polish, and cover with clear polish – pretty!
And, since it’s around the holidays, a few looks I think I’ll be trying out for parties are the solid white nails, and maybe gold glitter! Let me know what your tricks for pretty nails are – leave a comment!
Anyway – there are SO many fun holiday colors and things to do with your nails. I am loving the OPI Muppets Collection – the green I used is “Fresh Frog of Bel Air,” so freaking cute. And then I just got some cute little holiday decals to put on! Here is a picture of the finished product:
